Save from your feed.

Create a shortcut once. Then share a Facebook or Instagram post using Save to Katch in your iPhone’s sharing actions.

No App Store publication or developer account is needed. This opens Katch in your browser; it does not add a native app icon to the sharing row.

1. Create your shortcut

Open Apple’s Shortcuts app, tap + and name it Save to Katch. In the shortcut’s details, enable Show in Share Sheet.

In the input at the top of the shortcut, accept URLs and Text. For “If there’s no input”, choose Stop and Respond with “Share a Facebook or Instagram post to Save to Katch.”

2. Add these three actions

URL Encode
Leave it set to Encode. Choose Shortcut Input as the input.
Text
Paste this address, then insert the URL Encoded Text variable immediately after the equals sign. Do not add a space or newline, or type the variable’s name as plain text.
Open this page on your live Katch site to get the address.
The result should look like: address ending in ?text= followed by the coloured URL Encoded Text variable.
Open URLs
Use the Text output from the previous action. Save your shortcut.

3. Try a post

In Facebook or Instagram, open a post and use its sharing options to reach the iPhone system share sheet (often under More or Share to…). Scroll to the actions and select Save to Katch.

Katch should open with the post link filled in. If asked, unlock Katch first—the incoming post will stay there. Tap Create recipe to start the import.

The shortcut shares the link, not your Facebook or Instagram login. If the video cannot be retrieved, attach a saved clip or screen recording.

Test one Facebook post and one Instagram Reel. The share controls can differ between app versions. If Katch receives no link, its import screen will explain what is missing.
